So I've been back from the Australian Machine Quilting Festival for a couple of weeks now - wow what a fabulous weekend full of new techniques, amazing teachers and new quilty friends. I cannot WAIT until the next one - unfortunately they only happen every two years (sob sob..)
It was great to be home again though and back to reality. I couldn't wait to get back on the longarm to try out some new techniques!
First up was this Alphabet Jungle Quilt - all hand guided quilting on this one - it came up so cute! It was great to try out some new methods and patterns I'd learnt in Adelaide.
Next up was this gorgeous black and red quilt. This quilt was very angular so I softened it a little with some allover swirls quilted in a monofilament thread. You can't go wrong with swirls!
Lastly this week was a really beautiful appliqué quilt - this one is heading off to New Zealand in a few days. Again this was all free motion quilting and I had such a great time quilting this one - I love my job :)
